Document and information intake
A defined route for the agreed files or records, with extraction and classification where useful. Outputs connect to a clear data structure rather than remaining untracked text in a chat window.
Applied intelligence / From information to action
Kerning / IntelligencePut AI inside a defined business process. We combine models, conventional rules and human review to help teams handle information, prepare decisions and move work into the systems where it belongs.
A model can read a document or draft an answer without completing the work around it. The team still needs to know which record it belongs to, whether the result is reliable enough and what should happen if important information is missing.
We begin with one task and its surrounding workflow. The aim is to define where AI adds value, where a deterministic rule is more suitable and where a person remains responsible for reviewing or authorising the next action.
01Scope / Shaped around your process
A defined route for the agreed files or records, with extraction and classification where useful. Outputs connect to a clear data structure rather than remaining untracked text in a chat window.
Proposals or drafts presented with the information needed to review them. Approval steps distinguish what the system has suggested from what it is authorised to change.
Scoped integrations with the relevant tools and records, including validation, failure handling and retry decisions. We define which operations are permitted and how the result is recorded.
Representative examples, acceptance criteria and records of outputs or exceptions. These provide a basis for judging the workflow and deciding what needs improvement as source information changes.
02Delivery / From context to working software
Review the inputs, desired output and costly errors with the people doing the work. Establish a baseline process and a specific evaluation set before widening the proposed automation.
Use rules for explicit business constraints and AI where interpretation is useful. Review model, data-access and hosting choices against the task, information sensitivity and systems available to connect.
Check incomplete inputs, ambiguous results and unavailable integrations as well as successful examples. Introduce the workflow with agreed review responsibilities, then use observed exceptions to guide subsequent changes.
Context / Relevant work
Keystonne OS includes AI proposals such as dish plans and price changes. A proposal enters an approval inbox before it can change business records, connecting assistance to the operator’s existing workflow and decision authority.
Published product captures use a fictional sample kitchen. They do not demonstrate customer savings or production performance results.
03Before you begin
No. Explicit rules, validation and conventional automation often handle parts of the process more predictably. We use AI for the parts that benefit from interpretation and evaluate the combined workflow against your examples.
That is a scope decision. Low-risk, well-defined actions may be automated after evaluation; consequential changes may need human approval. The permissions, action limits and fallback paths should be agreed before connecting tools that change business records.
We use representative inputs and agree what a correct, incomplete or unacceptable result looks like. Evaluation should include the errors that matter to your operation, followed by review of real exceptions as the workflow is introduced.
We review the information required, who may access it and the proposed provider or hosting arrangement. Model usage, integration costs and ongoing review are considered in the delivery plan; no blanket data-handling assumption replaces the project agreement.

Bring representative inputs, the decision they lead to and the exceptions your team handles today. We can help define an evaluation and a useful first workflow.
