01The operating context

A forecast becomes useful when a planner can act on it.

Decision-support applications for demand, supply and commercial planning. Connect structured analysis with the people who need to question it, compare scenarios and decide what happens next.

Planning involves more than producing a number. Teams need to see how demand compares with deliveries, understand which accounts need attention and weigh alternatives when supply cannot meet every request.

A focused prototype can make those decisions tangible before a wider implementation. It gives the team a workflow to inspect, assumptions to challenge and an opportunity to define what reliable production data would need to provide.

A workflow to think through / Illustrative

  1. Read signals
  2. Understand gaps
  3. Compare scenarios
  4. Review a decision

02Possible project scope

What we can build.

Starting points for a conversation. The right scope depends on your workflow, available data and existing systems.

01 / OPPORTUNITY

Planning workspaces

Bring forecast, order and delivery views into a coherent planning workflow. Expose the sources and assumptions behind the analysis rather than reducing every question to one dashboard number.

02 / OPPORTUNITY

Exception analysis

Help planners move from an aggregate gap to the accounts or products that merit investigation. Define the business rules for an alert and the action it should support.

03 / OPPORTUNITY

Allocation scenarios

Compare approaches to distributing limited supply. Show demand, constraints and trade-offs so a recommendation can be examined before it becomes an operational decision.

04 / OPPORTUNITY

Grounded planning assistants

Explore conversational assistance connected to defined data and analysis tools. Keep the supporting context available, and retain a human review step for consequential decisions.

03Prototype · mock data

BAT GTR: a planning prototype that makes trade-offs visible.

The BAT GTR prototype combines demand forecasting, order-versus-delivery gap analysis, allocation scenarios and a planner copilot. It demonstrates a possible planning workflow using mock data.

This is explicitly a prototype. Live SAP, POS and Pack Smart integrations are outside the demonstrated scope. No production deployment, forecasting accuracy or business outcome is claimed.

04A useful first conversation

Begin with the decision, then work back to the data.

A planning brief should identify the choice a person needs to make and what would make the reasoning behind that choice more dependable.

  1. Which planning decision is hardest to explain today?
  2. What data is available, and what is still an assumption?
  3. How will a planner review and challenge a recommendation?
